Speed and Network

STRENGTH

The Minimum Lead Time of Mold Until T0 Is 2 Weeks

For produce molds, it takes 2 to 3 weeks to reach T0 (trial TRY after mold assembly), and for mass production product, it takes 4 to 5 weeks to reach T0.

The PRONICS network that extends to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and China enables such speedy production. Lead time to T0 is shortened by sharing the manufacturing work to 6 branches and company have alliance contracts based on mold size, number of parts, transportation cost, difficulty level, processing time, etc.

The PRONICS Group, which provides not only mold manufacturing but also molding mass production services and contract measurement services, manufactures with the theme of highly mass-producible molds, and the measurement data of all dimensions to be handed over with the molds is reliable. Those are created by measurement technology. The know-how and technology have been transferred to PRONICS HANOI, so you can use services at Pronics Hanoi.

Sharing Know-How Within The Group

PRONICS started manufacturing in Japan, but its high technology and know-how are shared in Vietnam. Technical exchanges are frequently carried out, such as Japanese mold engineers, plastics injection mold engineers, and measurement engineers going to give technical guidance on branch, and the technical support system between branches is also very good. In the case of a small and medium-sized enterprise like us, it is impossible for dozens of Japanese engineers to be assigned to transfer technology and make business trips to one branch. But don’t worry! We know our advantage that we are small organization, we are flying around to give technical guidance and support to branches that require human resources with close communication.

Twenty years before our company entered Vietnam, the technical level was disastrous and we often had a headache, even we hired experienced people or new fresh graduated and training for processing and manufacturing. However, unlike those days, the processing technology of Vietnamese engineers who have been steadily training for 20 years has improved dramatically to the level of Japanese people. In addition, the production speed, which reflects the production volume and processing capacity within 24-hours exceeds PRONICS (Japan). It is true that the awesomeness of Japanese quality is still shining in the core technology of finishing and assembling mold parts, but while taking advantage of Vietnam’s speed, PRONICS (Japan). Since we provide effective support to each branch centering on its core technology, you can procure molds and molded products with confidence even in Vietnam.

Reverse Technology That Practical One-Stop Services

The PRONICS Group have not only design technology as mold concept and component design for mold manufacturing, but also have reverse technology as well. Old molds often do not have CAD, so it is only possible to start making additional mold and renewal mold by scanning the molded product or the mold themselves and modeling (CADing) data. Scanning and modeling technologies by scanner or software may be not enough to make CADing, but with our advanced technical capabilities to measure shapes that cannot be cut by scanner and CAD technology to process surface distortion are required. Because PRONICS has provided contract measurement services, we can establish advanced scanning technology by making the best use of its “measuring power”. Reverse engineering technology is a technology owned by PRONICS (Japan), but the group is closely cooperating, and there are many cases where Japanese reverse engineering technology is utilized in mold manufacturing projects at each branch.

We will handle manufacturing projects at any branch such as design, mold, plastics molding, measurement, inspection, assembly, packing, etc. just by contacting the branch that is most convenient for the customer or contact the person in charge of our company.

Tips for Maximizing Outsourcing

If you have experience in procuring overseas, you may find it difficult to find a good processor company in local. We often hear some complaints about marketing and PR content very good and then they placed an order but the quality of product is different from PR content. In addition, you may be selected from a subcontractor that has a good reputation by word of mouth or a subcontractor that is delivery for a company that you know. Even in that case, the quality is often different from what you heard. How does that happen?

I think that the difference between good sales and poor sales is “proposal power” and “particularly”. It is natural that you cannot even have an interview without “what kind of proposal can you make in particular?” In some cases, non-specific regular visits and greeting sales can be effective, but in many cases it is wasted to spend your precious time in an interview that the benefits to the customer are not visible.

Paradoxically, it’s just a waste of time to meet with someone who has no chance for sales. Unless the purpose is to develop potential customer. It means that the response should be done with a minimum of effort.

And at the beginning, “Why does something different from what I heard happen?” One answer is that local outsourcing is should have “minimum effort should be used”. It must be clearly recognized by outsourcers as “making money” and you feeling the pressure that “you will loss if you do not deliver good products”. The easiest thing to do is to get a job that can be profitable from outsourcing, but if you do not have all the jobs with such a large profit margin, you will eventually need communication and negotiation ability with outsourcing. I wonder that, “I handed over the processing drawings, but the delivery was completely different,” does not put any pressure on the outsourcing. PRONICS has also dealt with various outsourcers in various countries such as Japan, China, Vietnam and Thailand. There are several outsourcers that are continuously trading, but the ordering party on the PRONICS side is fixed for each outsourcer. The ordering party selects a person who has experience of being assigned to the country or region where the subcontractor operates and is familiar with the business customs of that country. This is because it can be said that the key to maximizing the ability of outsourcing is to fix the person in charge who have the most bargaining power for the outsourcing.

Supports Mold Meetings in Japan

Customers of Japanese companies who have selected the PRONICS Group as their procurement source will be pleased with the service that the Japanese side will handle meetings for molds manufactured in Vietnam. For Japanese companies, whose products are often designed by Japanese companies rather than Vietnamese companies, PRONICS (Japan) designers and engineers respond to design meetings and mold meetings on the Japanese side. In addition, PRONICS (Japan) is often used as a trading company because large companies have some difficult for new supplier registration and customers who wish to trade by Japanese yen.

Another point that makes it more convenient for Japanese side to function as a trading company is the procurement of raw materials. There are many reliable material trading companies in Vietnam, and general grade materials procured in Japan can be procured in local. However, if you request delivery from one bag (25 kg), the unit price will increase up. The way the unit price rises is not comparable to that in Japan. Also, the small LOT ordered may be rejected. When the MOQ (minimum order quantity) is 500 kg or 1000 kg, those quantity is too large to be sample material for small-sized product production or mold manufacturing, and the manufacturing cost does not match. With PRONICS, we purchase one bag in Japan and export it to branch in group. Of course, transportation costs will be incurred, but there are many cases that can save cost if only necessary quantity exported from Japan, because it will be rejected by a local trading company or that it has non-liquid inventory. In the case of a local supplier, it is often that the designated material cannot be procure and another material of the same grade is replaced, so be careful.

The PRONICS Group uses excellent network management and outsourcing management know-how to provide manufacturing services that satisfy customers with speed in both in-house and outsourced parts.
